Try this tasty solution to quick, healthy meals!
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground turkey or lean hamburger
- 1/4 c ketchup
- 1/8 c mustard
- 1 cup shredded 2% milk cheddar cheese (or your choice)
- 1 whole wheat pizza crust or pizza crust of choice (Pillsbury is a good one that kids enjoy)
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spread pizza dough out on a cookie sheet. Brown hamburger or ground turkey in pan. Drain excess grease/fat from pan. Add ketchup and mustard. (I do not measure, I just squirt some ketchup and mustard in until I like the taste – measurements are just a guess). Spread meat mixture over pizza crust leaving about 1 inch border. Spread cheese over the meat mixture. Roll the dough/meat so that it makes a big “log.” Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. After it cools a few minutes, cut it into pinwheels. Serve with salad, fruit and pickle spear.
